123rd CHURCH ANNIVERSARY: Sunday October 9, 2011 will begin the 123nd Anniversary Celebration of Union Baptist Church. The theme is: “God's Bountiful Blessings: A Past to Revere, A Present to Cherish and A Future to Embrace" based on II Corinthians 9: 6-11. The Guest Preacher will be the Reverend Dr. Lindsay E. Curtis of Grace Baptist Church, Norwalk, Connecticut. We will conclude Sunday, October 16, 2011 with our own, the Reverend John W. Walker, Pastor of Saint James Missionary Baptist Church, New Britian, CT .

HIGHER GROUND PRAYER SUPPORT - Mission Statement: To assist our congregation in building a spiritual base and positive attitude for the Higher Ground Stewardship Campaign. The Prayer Support Team will be available before Church (8:40 am - 9:00 a.m.) and after service. The Team Members are Reverend Diane C. Wilson, Co-Chair, Deacon Ronald Hemphill, Co-Chair, Deacon Herbert Davis, Jr., Deacon Patricia Miller, Deacon-in-Training Reginald Prudhomme, Sister Jessie Simmons. Higher Ground Prayer Request Cards are available in the Narthex.

The UBC NURSES' MINISTRY will host Screenings from the Stamford Hospital Mobile Mammography Program on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm in the Intergenerational Hall. this service is available for insured, and is FREE for the un-insured and under-insured. THE UBC GOSPEL CHOIR ANNIVERSARY: Under the direction of Elder Colon Haywood, Jr. will be celebrating their 38th Anniversary in concert on Sunday October 23, 2011 at 5:00pm. The theme for the concert is "God Is Great“, based upon Psa;m 135:1-6 and Hebrews 4:12-14. Please join us in this celebration and be blessed with songs of praises- He is GREAT! We thank God for you and your talents.
